Walk With Me In Hell is the third DVD release from Lamb Of God, and the two-disc set has over five hours of footage, taking you around the world with LOG on tour in support of their album Sacrament. It features exclusive uncensored footage behind the scenes on the bus and on stage and is directed by Doug Spangenberg and produced by Space Monkey Studios. There is spectacular footage from the UK’s Download festival where they tear it up in front of over 70,000 fans. Also included are six new live videos, the making of Sacrament featuring live tracks from Unholy Alliance and Ozzfest, and the release and making of the “Redneck” video. Random randiness abounds when lead singer Randy Blythe nearly cuts off his big toe with a machete; the scene includes the actual queasy stitching that followed.
The rest of the footage is full of gun shooting, fighting, private jets, national TV appearances, bungee jumping, slap fights, tattoos, and barbecues and really gives you an all-access pass to the bands lifestyle when they aren’t on stage. The end of the DVD reveals a touching tribute to roadie extraordinaire Evie Carrano, originally the band’s merch girl and later their assistant tour manager, who tragically died young of Leukemia. The tribute shows a side of the band that we don’t often see and is a reminder that throughout their success they have remained as real and honest as when they started. This is a worthy addition for the collection of any Lamb Of God fan, or anyone interested in knowing more about these kings of American Metal.
