God Head - The Shadow Line January 2007
| God Head - The Shadow Line Cement Shoes Records 2006 By mrBlack

Band forms in Washington DC. Band plays gigs. Band gets signed with heavy radio rotation for Beatles cover "Eleanor Rigby". Band gets attention but still underrated and unnoticed. Band one day signs to small indie label. Band releases best work to date! This seems to be par for the course in the industry of late. Hed (PE), Sevendust and Mushroomhead all cut from the major label ranks and are now stronger than ever. God Head is no exception and The Shadow Line is nothing less than an album well worth whatever brain cells you have left to kill. “Trapped in Your Lies” and “Push” are new songs that crush any major label release this band unleashed on a major. “Fall Down” without a doubt could be an overplayed rock radio sensation. And just who is Cement Shoes Records anyway? I would venture to say that they're a label that has given God Head the right tools to make music that you can tell, hear and feel is music that they've always wanted to make. The conviction of each song is strong and the overall package is far more than “worth” a visit to the gum-stained aisles of your favorite record dive. This album will grow on you like those nights you were forced to fall asleep to your mom spinning Neil Diamond on vinyl while getting sloshed on wine with her friends in the living room. www.godhead.com
